I'm pretty sure his switch is going to end up as one of the all-time worst career moves.
Red Bull's resurgence is great for the enjoyment of watching the races, but it's also good news for Hamilton. As long as he, Verstappen, Bottas, Leclerc and Vettel are trading places, none of them will accrue the succession of 25-pointers they need to eat into his lead. |

I predict the Merc under Mr. RoBottas to overpower the Red bull on the first straight after the lights go out. It will be reminiscent of when Hakkinen blew by Schumacher at the first corner with MS on pole. Don't remember the year, however it does seem like yesterday.

The inside grid positions are traditionally dirty and bad for starting. When there was warm-up in the morning people starting on the inside used to drive down that that side to clean it up. |

He knows how Red Bull works. If he can't beat Max (which he can't), then he'll get dropped within a year or so to make way for the next driver. Gasly. Who will suffer a similar fate soon, to be replaced by someone else...and the cycle will continue. And one day, when Max loses his touch, he'll face the same fate.

I can understand his motivation
He could be number 2 in a team that looked to be on the way down or he could be number one at a factory team on its way up and build a team focused on him The extra$$ would have helped too However if he stays with renault next year and beyond and they dont improve drastically he has waved goodbye at ever being champ |

Well done Max, finally getting his first pole in F1. Seems Mercedes finally have a genuine threat which is good for the sport. Good from Bottas too, although he will be on the dirty side of the grid. Good to see both McLarens up there again and Russell, what a lap. He's definitely outperforming that car

That doesn't bother me.
The principle of it is about the race is the one I would like to stick too. Qualifying is already important as F1 is boring and you can't overtake. Perhaps when they improve the racing so that grid position doesn't matter and no one tries in qualifying because of it we can have it to encourage competitive running! |

Fair enough, there is that scenario but I can think of one where the extra point for fastest lap, could clinch the title.

Why is there a grandstand full of marshals? Shouldn’t they be by the track?

That was a clean start and Verstappen leads into Turn 1. Bottas made a bit of a meal of that and goes down to 4th, with a damaged front wing.

That's it folks. I recommend turning off now. I would, but I have sold my telly.

That was a bit naughty. Do you think Lewis didn't get the coded "won't be long now"?
