Kansas results
Again the IRL was competing with CART on television. So I was only able to watch the first 1/2 hour, then I switched over to Toronto. From then on, I only watched Kansas while the other was on commercials, opting instead to keep an eye on the internet's timing and scoring. I did, however, watch the last couple of laps.
1 - Dare 2 - Hornish 3 - Castroneves 4 - Giaffone 5 - deFerran 17 - Unser Jr. deFerran started 21st of 23 drivers, but very early on in the race found himself solidly in the top-10. The scoring monitor showed me what I wanted to see for lap after lap after lap. That was Unser Jr. leading the two Penske cars. What happened to poor Al, I don't know. But he obviously didn't win. Dare passed Hornish on a restart on lap 198 (of 200) and never looked back. One more thing... the race was a sellout. |

well the end of the race was very interesting thats for sure, Hornish and the Panther team were none to happy about the re start and dare was on the pace and caught Sam napping a bit and got the jump on him, kudos to Airton for that one , next time sam will have to pay a little more attention.
was a fairly interesting race but only really got going towards the end and there was some pretty good racing as well. well done to AJ's team for taking the double (AJ the 4th won the first Infinity Pro series race) and well done to Dare for his first win in the IRL. |
