Iberian Historic Endurance calendar finally out. As I suspected would be the case, they have snubbed the Algarve Classic in October in favour of a new meeting at Jerez the weekend before. This has already attracted HGPCA, who will be racing there in 2020.

Full info here.....

Not calendar but 2020 news but didn't know where to put.

Just some announcements I've seen recently regarding Group C next year.

First is that the Ascott Collection will be running a Aston Martin AMR1 next year.

Also Mike Wilds will be sharing a Porsche 956 LH next year aswell.

Group C really has really improved in quality and grid sizes. Not dramatically but still good.

Could be it.

https://www.mgcc.co.uk/cockshoot-cup/calendar/

The Brands Hatch round that is missing on the link is on the 18/19 April.

The Oulton Park round is a MGCC event.

Only covers some events but better than nothing

Yes I’ve seen that, thanks. But it is, as you say, not the complete calendar.

I've noticed that they are advertising for a new "Motor Racing Secretary", perhaps that is something to do with it?

Here's maybe an answer to your question. We had a Javelin Trackday today and Colin its Boss is talking (seriously) about having a max of 15 single seaters doing a 20 minutes session an hour @ Mallory, aimed primarily @ 2 litre and under, so no F5000's need apply.

Watch this space or contact him and express an interest.

The sell out track day had its usual mix of French Hot Hatches, MX5's, Caterhams, 3 & 5 series Beemers, Audi TT's and the like.

The oldest but not the slowest was a mid 60's MG Midget, the fastest by a mile was a Mclaren 540C (and that was with breaking for Gerards before the bridge) and the most unusual was a Corrado Hot Rod who was very quick.

And that was the end of the 2019 season @ Mallory.

Sorry Mike, couldn't find the Castellet PA event. Official name is DIX MILLE TOURS DU CASTELLET (in french mille is invariable so no S required even after 500) 4/5 April 2020 Circuit Paul Ricard France.

TBC by Mike or PA, Group C could run the full Mistral straight. Official website talks about 300 kmh for those it could be pessimistic because a Production Capri did already 280 AFAIR…
