Who would have put that on? Surely not KMart?

Haven't seen the car but I think it's purely a 'Murph' thing, no connection with KMart.

Yeah, I've just been told it was a Club Murph thing in fact - you could buy a hot lap for $800 or thereabouts! Think I'd rather go to every V8 Touring Car round - would cost about the same and last a lot longer!

So you've resisted the temptation to remove all the springs, put 18 inch chrome wheels with rubber bands around them on it, paint it with that strange metallic paint that changes colour when you look at it and plant a huge sub-woofer in the boot, meanwhile leaving it stock standard under the bonnet apart from removing the exhaust pipe at the manifold?

It must have been tempting! Perhaps after we save up enough cans we can also look at this option as the "team mascot" vehicle. You might also want to track down the elusive Miss Keen to make it an even four...

Seems that Paul Radisich may have an NZ V8 Touring Car team up his sleeve for the coming season, with at least one young driver and a class newbie linked to it.

Rumour of a customer car or two out of the OTR/E-frame stable too....should be interesting!

Wouldnt come close to generating the mega dollar income achieved in Supercar or BTCC....

With James Thompson wandering away to Alfa in 2005, perhaps this is the slot that becomes free?

Who said it wasn't an investment in future talent from NZ?

Is Supercar or BTCC really a mega-dollar income...assuming you mean as a team owner, rather than a driver?

Maybe that is the slot for Rattie....Yay if it is. We see no BTCC in NZ.

I wish I could earn $200k to race cars 14 weekends a year.... and have time for a day job...

Either way, its a great deal more income $$ per year than the great unwashed who pay for the goods to make the racing happen

OK,now that NZ V8's has got it's own silly season (of sorts) here's a crazy one for you.
As a casual observer standing on the yard of a large BMW dealership in Newmarket this afternoon, I saw (and I hadn't even been drinking yet Keener) Andy Booth (or a bloody good likeness) making one hell of a lot of noise up Great South Road in....get this....a full on Maserati race car. At least I think it was a Maserati. Whatever it was, it sounded *#@%ing cool and was painted blue and white, Hmmmmmm...new addition to the OTR stable maybe?

Not at all, Ego Andy thinks he owns one, but he got promoted to sales manager for Ferrari and Maserati at Continental Car Services.

I am lead to believe that his Maserati may have come close to being flooded at the Pukekohe Supercar round in the NZ Support class pits....!

CCS has gone backwards since Tim Bailey's unfortunate departure

Being surrounded by Ferrari's & Maserati's all day, why would you !

Hey, not quite the angle I was getting at guys, but seeing as though you brought it up, I have met Andy on several occasions and reaaly don't know where this negativity comes from (T.P.S maybe?). He's a hell of a nice guy and with out doubt, one of the most talented drivers currently racing in NZ. There, said it !!
I was more interested in the appearance (and sound!!!)of this rather cool race car and whether it has any connection with this summer's racing activities. Anyone know anything?
