Wow, you managed a whole post without shouting an ill-informed opinion at somebody else.

The point stands. Pietro is very well connected but a very poor driver by top standards, having never cut it in any competitive formula.

There would be literally hundreds of drivers you would want before him if it was a straight choice.

hundreds and yet none of them were actually considered?? Again, not an ill formed opinion just because it violates your not so connected and almost always demonstrated to have your finger MILES from the pulse and wrong

Oh and remember ALL posts RLL made about Vips being considered and their presser were locked out to public comment. Their staff knows sponsors don't want touch him still so it doesn't matter how fast YOU think he is, he has zero oval experience and didn't exactly set the world alight in the STR or Red Bull in testing. Pietro on the other hand CAN provide points, sponsors engagement oh and he IS well regarded for car feedback and development. Plenty of guys haven't been fast but are very useful to a team for setup

Yes, as you say.

I’m not holding a candle for Vips but Pietro is a very uninspiring choice. Certainly slower than Harvey who seemed all at sea.

Pierson coming to a full season with HMD over the 9 rounds he ran last season. Hard to beat HMD if you want to win in NXT. Continues with ECR as well in the garages all season

Well we're possibly down one car on ovals, #33 parked in favor of sharing Ed sharing the #20 with Rasmussen, Ed for ovals and Christian for rest with the exception of Indy where he will be in a third car for them

That's out of the blue. JHR say in their statement. “The team will provide updates regarding its driver lineup for the upcoming season in due course.”, so it's a matter of, watch this space.

Really interested to see how Christian is going to do in Indycar. He has experience in NXT the past couple of seasons and has sportscar experience as well.

That was a surprising move, I hope Ilott finds a drive for next season. Could Grosjean be coming to JHR for next season? I have to imagine they wouldn't have let Callum go unless there was a replacement ready to go.

Now yes, it is written with a Illot bent but if in Indy folks are willing to talk to reporters much it can't be good for Juncos long term. Think the Grosjean to the seat tomorrow is less likely and he definitely isn't paying for the seat with a Lamborghini ride in his future.

Good point on the Lambo ride, and we haven't seen anybody do a full Indycar season with a WEC season yet. Got to be a few clashes.

Well that's 6 of 15 venues for Indy and 6 of 8 WEC rounds. And Lamborghini is planning 2024 WEC right? So that would be tough

I thought Grosjean's move to Lamborghini was full time, as he has been hired as a factory driver and therefore will be involved in the development of their Hypercar?

Well he is confirmed at JHR for 2024, but Racer listed him as IMSA Lamborghini driver so guess he's got a bit less in conflict then with IMSA only program

Same, and if they are already missing Daytona, and can't remember if they will be ready for Sebring, that only leaves Watkins, Indy and Petit to worry about.

Think Sebring is the target for them now, but wouldn't be surprised to see Watkins debut if there's an issue with dueling homologation

But I would guess he will have plenty of seat time in it over any JHR testing, let Canapino take that time

Interesting developments and a good deal of rationalisation amongst those that were still looking to finalise line ups.

Looking a bit shaky for Callum now it seems. But he did have a pretty awful season after the promise of '22.
