Sunbeam Lotus in ETCC 1980 Tourist Trophy Race!!

I did not know until I was shown this weekend that a Sunbeam Lotus was raced in Group 2 Touring Car Spec in 2 rounds of the 1980 European Touring Car Championship.
Note much bigger wheels/arches/splitter similar to mine. Qualified 4th in front of the Works?? Jeff Allam/Tiff Neeedell Rover SDI and the Klaus Ludwig Eggenberger BMW 320 :'0)
It was a 3 hr race and he retired with broken diff...no surprise, bet no alloy back plate/pump cooler then :'0(
What a shame they never continued as it had so much promise
Wonder when the Masters see this I will get a race in the Touring 70's??

There's a clue in the series title. Touring 70s.

BTW there was only one Group 2 Rover and I don't think it was run in 1980 can you coinfirm it was Group 2? They used to run Groups 1 and 2 in the Tourist Trophy.
