Gordon, nice video with a great atmosphere. Did you have Pygmée cars in this series? Years of production roughly '65/73.

The F3 race in the second half of the clip (which was the from my quick research) the 1969 Cadwell Lincolnshire Trophy Race) had some big names in it... Hunt, Peterson, Schenken, Ganley, Wisell, Mo Nunn etc. It was also I believe the first run for an F3 March ever, with Ronnie P driving the March F3 Prototype. Thanks for the entry list, E.B. I see Matra and Tecno, no Pygmée. Some "rather" good Froggies, Jaussaud, Mazet and Jarier being fast.

Yeah, enjoy, Will!
Great clip, Gordon - have rallied at Rufforth, I believe, but not raced. I do like Cadwell to race at (although its the only circuit I've ever felt car-sick as a driver!) - but I'm obviously never driving fast enough because I've never spun at the Mountain |

Holy s*** that was an experience. Never forget that.
Thankyou very much for the experience and for letting me keep a bit of the scenery I found Max. Kart all in one piece at the end and a great understanding now of a proper Go Kart. Cheers Will. Now you've all seen me now there is no hiding at race meets . |

Hmm I only uploaded those pics low-res. I'll look at them on my PC and see if they're better than they look on my phone, if they're poor I'll re-do them.
Back in Bromham now, got an early start to Llandow tomorrow, so time for this. Which may explain why I'm not sharing the track with Will........ Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

We watched from the foot of the mountain. That F3 race was just fantastic & the March 703 so nearly won on it's debut. I was hooked on motorsport from that day onwards. I still have the program from that day. Thanks for finding it & posting it, Gordon : made my day !! MartinH |

Thank you for the nice words. Yes a couple of moments were brilliant. Do love some oversteer, channeling my inner historic racer a bit there maybe . Getting out the pits and wheelspinning was surprisingly quite satisfying. The kart was a thrill to drive. Now time to get on with my own and get it out. Be a dream for that to happen as have been looking at it wondering what it'd be like running for 10 years now . Never thought a year ago having never driven anything apart from the comfort of my chair that I'd be driving something like that and not done any karting since August. |
