Arhh, but as a golfer i would prefer a layout that allows both. Cake and eat it!

I think the coastal circuit layout is a great drivers track and the “corkscrew” bends are one of THE great corners, as long as you are not distracted by the views of the sea and the snowdon mountains!

Many Happy Returns of The Day, to you Gérard.

I hadn't realised that you were still such a spring chicken, i.e. a mere youth compared to us old duffers.

I don't know about driving the circuit but as a spectator I can vouch for the fact that it's a real workout particularly on the calf muscles! Spectacular circuit, so pleased I made the effort for the HSCC meeting a couple of years ago, it's a loooong drive from Sussex!

Fully endorsed ! The PistonClick spectator snappers guide created at the HSCC meeting confirms the attraction for spectators - https://www.pistonclick.com/anglesey-circuit-guide

Hoping to be back there for RoR in November ...

Thank you, Mike and Peter, it warms my old heart, a very good thing!

As to Anglesey, we dont have such a scenic railway here, may be Ledenon near Nîmes and Grand Sambuc for the view (Iain knows this place now).
If you want an idea of what "far from home" means, I drove to and from Stockport more than once. Roughly the trip starts at 4 AM and if lucky you can catch the last train of Eurotunnel on the way back…

Happy Birthday from me too Gerard
(I thought Stockport? why on earth would he go to Stockport? Then I realised that was where Ric Wood is based!)

Spot on, Viva, Rick's garages including CNC, this is a quiet and residential zone when the rolling road doors are closed! Because the pavements are painted in light grey, oil leaks are not very much welcome!!!
And the travel is not that easy because mainly we use wheels outside trailers and of course our towing vehicles are LHD…
Anyway I do hope I can go back there to change my camshaft and carb', would be good news meaning healthy and wealthy!

Cheers to you and to Miss Mince Pie!

Ah, that's what all the hullabaloo in Paris was about yesterday. I thought it was just little Macron trying to out-do Putin! Presumably Mme Hildago was looking the other way & trying not to notice all his diesel trucks on her precious streets.

Anyway, Joyeuse Anniversaire to you, Gerard!

Anyway enjoy the day Gerard, you deserve to

John, I had the same thought about the old diesels and oil leaks on the Champs Elysées. Cant imagine "Notre Drame de Paris" nervous breakdown! May be she was waiting for a kiss or hug from Brigitte, this one has been generous!

Thanks…
