Jag Gets Their Windtunnel
“We will initially be using the windtunnel for 16 hours a day, 6 days a week, moving to a 24 hour a day operation in the very near future,”.
Well do ya think we'll see any improvement now? |

Now there is a idea! A team having their own wind tunnel. Just in time for next years car!
Jaguar get their first wind tunnel at a time when loads of teams have started using two tunnels simultaneously. I tell you what, it could be useful for a Le Mans attack too... |

Let's hope they use the right settings this time! Maybe they should go to their local branch of PC World and get a copy of 'Wind Tunnels for Dummies'.

1 wind tunnel has gotta be better than no wind tunnel, the way i see it is, if the jags are "only" 3?? seconds off the pace with no windtunnel, and other teams are using 2, then there is a slight hope for the jag boys!

If i'm not mistaken, Sauber will only have their own wind tunnel by next year....so technically they too are renting. Yet they are doing very well.... So don't get your hopes high

I'm sure I read somewhere that areodynamic modelling is pretty close to being able to be achieved on the computer.
This would save the massive costs of running a wind tunnel and the associated cost in producing endless models. Anyone else know anything about it? |

No, but I'd quite like to design my own F1 car with my PC
BTW Jag's nicked an ex- Renault aerodynamicist Ben Agathangelou, who will join them in May. |

I think that they should put Niki in the wind tunnel fisrt.
They need to work on getting all the drag off of his big head....Man I hate what is happening to that team. |

Some would say Jag has had it's own wind tunnel all along: Eddie Irvine.
