Nice pics!!!!

Here's a few from my efforts when I wasn't on duty at poste 106, and before my participation in the event was "curtailed" by French officialdom.

Just click on the 2007 Le Mans photobook to bring on the slideshow.

some good photos, steve. its a shame that the weird pattern across the screen that windows live spaces uses spoils them a lot. at first i thought my LCD was broken!

There's a full explanation on the marshals forum,

http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...t=97528&page=3

but basically the French officials removed me from marshalling, 2 hours into the race! Seems the wheelchair didn't make good viewing on TV, as I had to hide out of TV view for the remainder of the event!!!!!!!! Which meant not being able to marshal at all.

just read some of the other thread, so i'll be avoiding any defamatory remarks. Hopefully they will sort something out for next year. I would have thought that if anything you would be an asset to the race and they would want you on camera as much as possible.

Some of the officials can be a bit over zealous (most are brilliant, though i must say). I went to Michelin (chicane) to get some shots that i had no problem getting last year and one guy told me (in quite a rude way) i can stand there. then he said OK, then starts shouting at me saying not to touch the barrrier. Now, i'm by the barrier in the middle of the chicane (i.e. the bit the most furthest away from the track you can possibly get) and the pace car is out with all the cars following it at about 50mph. If a car had crashed in that situation i would have been able to make a cup of tea, drink it and then slowly walk away before it got anywhere near me (assuming it could possibly even overshoot the chicane and then turn right instead of left behind the pace car).
I think he was grumpy after getting so wet, but i did what i was told anyway as there is no point in arguing.

Just three of mine at the moment. I'll try and get some more up tonight, had a bit of a busy week! Got back from LM, 2 days of F1 testing, then off to Monza in the small hours of tomorrow!

Yeah I work for an agency full time, so the majority of the stuff doesn't go on my website. Le Mans was an exception to the rule though!

The last one of your trio is great; we saw someone in a open top Sportscar driving round and he was having trouble seeing and driving one handed and shielding his eyes with the other. We remarked at the time about the joys of open top motoring. It seems he wasn't the only one!

The second one is odd; I just do not recall so many trees at that point. Yet they fill the background. Still, I've only been 17 times!

Great pics

Finally put a more extensive gallery up. Left out some important bits, like the podium etc., so may have to do some more!
