Anybody been watching series 2? I thought the first episode was ok - probably what they should have done last year with a detailed tour of the track etc, but I couldn't believe they didn't realise how boring it was to repeatedly watch James & Warren pounding waves on the jetski, or Steve driving at 40km/h even if it was a Lambo.
Missed the start of last night's episode, but what I did see was much better. The show is still not as slick as the UK version but that episode held up very well I thought. |

Ditto!! Warren is much better as the front man than I would have thought.

The race with the Lambo and waverunner did not. Skaifey was a bit competitive. When his first time was revealed and it was worse than the other two V8 drivers he looked angry. |

It's not really a car show, then...
And it's not really entertaining... So what is it? |

The Tiyoda?
It's pure punishment. No sense of theatre or drama - and even if they did, they don't have the talent to pull it off... I ask myself why I watch it - and it is purely because it is cars on tv, and I usually have nothing on on a Monday night... |

I think the odd glitch (and I have cringed at a few of Clarkson's) doesn't seriously detract from what is now a pretty decent show with the exception of a few segments that are clunky, don't go anywhere or where they shy away from a proper contest, eg the armoured car contest.

I think the main thing is they have to not mirror TGUK directly but find their own humor and ideas especially with an australian touch. There were a few segments I saw it felt they were trying to force things too much. Overall I like it and it's nice to watch. |

New news - apparently supposed to be moving from SBS to Channel 9 (or at least Ch9 are trying to get it), and they are chasing Shane Warne to host it. BBC says it hasn't happened, but they are in negotiations re the future.

Show returns on Sept 28 on Channel 9 - first episode is an Ashes special in Britain, including a race against the UK hosts
