Nice bloke, sad to see him go.

I hope he'll still be driving when there's a spare seat in his "old car".

Undecided what to do next year ! Full British Sprint with some of the better Hills, or all the Leaders with some of the best British Sprint ? YingYing could still reappear at certain Hills like Shelsley !

Later.
Now, now Ying-Ying I seem to remember what you said about certain hillclimb venues! You cannot be serious!

At Shelsley-hopefully not as that car makes the most appalling unmechanical racket of any car on this planet. Discuss.

Just to throw another curveball into the discussion, it was being talked about in the paddock at Doune so I don't think I'm disclosing anything I shouldn't...

Steve Owen is building another big car with what I believe is a 4 litre V8 in it, details still a bit sketchy!

OMG!!!!

No seriously if the build quality is up to his usual high standard it should be one to watch.

welsh wizard forces way into 1600cc class

1600 single seater aces (and other top 10 contenders!) will probably be interested or terrified to know that a certain mega quick caterham pilot is rumoured to have purchased Cookie's Force..........Quite a car/driver combo to live up to but i reckon he's the man to do it, what do others think?

If he has bought it then there will some very interesting runs next season. It is, in my opinion, not before time that he moved up which goes for one or two others in that class who also have great potential. Having said that I realise that ££££££££££££ have a great bearing when considering a car change.

Mmm, that's an interesting development. I've always been astonished that first Clive and then Robert have managed to keep finding extra speed out of the car and themselves. This could move him onto a whole different plane. He won't be slow, that's for certain.

I did hear an unconfirmed rumour that Mark Budget will be back next year in the 1600 class with a Graham White Jr built Raptor (a mini-Predator). So just as Cookie might be moving on to other things leaving a more level playing field, were probably all going to get stuffed again!

There are lots of rumours at the moment, the only confirmed sale i have is Robbie Garden from up here, 1600 busa engined Raptor, he intends to do the Scottish and some of the B H C. He is a quick driver and can give good feedback (good for me), and the jump up from his 1100 should be not to bad. There is other conversations going on, but Robbie is the only confirmed sale.

Correcto mundo! Dan Pickett has purchased the RTL MP58 complete with 3.5 litre Judd EV. As for his chances against Roy Dawson I would say better than most! Don't forget Roy was beaten twice this year so he isn't infallible!

Influencial News

Bill Chaplin has sold FORCE Racing cars. The new owner, Ian Dayson, will be continuing to run the business from the same location and will move his preparation business to darkest Somerset.

As one person has already commented 'At least the driveshafts will not break as soon as you look at them!'

True it is no secret that Ian is Buying Force Racing, but the location will NOT be in Somerset. Try Litchfield area !

Strange uninformed comment to make as the shafts are already made by ADS ( Bob Dayson) and i have never seen a Force break a shaft (Touch wood etc). Chains maybe

Graham Hardman bought Bills 600 to race in Cornish sprint c/ship.
