HDTVKSS should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
lol my fave part of this is how all the Ford ppl who have **** on 888 for 10 years all of a sudden a defending them like their new found messiah.
Id suggest that the GM transition from WAU to 888 had more to do with the general overall decline in results of the WAU organisation (and no doubt some well positioned polictics from Dane who made no secret of wanting to be a factory team).

Lol, and don't forget GM supporters that are now dumping on T8 big time, such as yourself.

Nice try but not quite. I was (am still generally) a Red Bull supporter in general, but I haven’t supported GM in general since they killed Holden and tbh my Red Bull interest has waned since Mateschiz passing. If anything I support drivers more than a body shell. I wouldn’t have had any issue with 888 going ford if they had done it in a different manner. I certainly had no issue with RBR going from Honda to ford. But just keep up the one eyed tribalism I guess….

T8 did it in a perfect manner, kept it quiet so that the media didn't have the opportunity to make negotiations more difficult, T8 don't owe you anything, nice try by you at claiming neutrality though.

It is still a wonder as to whether 888 thought they might lose as much as seems to have been made to disappear…

- Craig Lowndes’ driving & promotional (and merchandise sales) glow
- SuperCheap Wildcard in doubt as connection to Mr Lowndes lost
- SuperCheap off the RBART cars the back of losing Mr Lowndes
- Mr Moore to GM USA
- KRE keeps on with long term deal with GM Chev exclusively
- Who can/will run the Ford Gen3 engine supply program?
- Ford HT not guaranteed for 888 (needs teams approval)
- Unclear transition plan for Ford HT & 888 new Mustang build

Seems messy to me. Might imagine Mr Dane wouldn’t have left so many questions unanswered…

KRE, Moore and Lowndes seem to suggest it’s not as perfect as you claim. And zzzzz on your other dig.

Agree 100% but surely contributing to a Global F1 futre is also bright? Not sure how much involvement it may or maynot be?

Cant see RD having Major day to day involvement with anyone and for for
CL its a nice way to ride into the future and longer term retirement wering a Bow Tie

Of course what Roland is doing has no link to daughter Jessica's role at GM headquarters.... ha ha ha.

888 to open Engine Shop

That CANNOT be a cheap option….. even if bring in-house controls quality…
Haven’t run an engine program at their own hand probably ever, certainly not in Australia, and now a strategic snafu sees a need that wasn’t there before…

It perhaps goes to show how much 888 took on to imagine, design, build, develop and sell the GM Camaro..

It’s only when that support network is there that anyone notices the true breadth of the requirement.

Presumably the pull out of Holden, the dealer support, the factory umbrella to effectively run the whole show out of the preferred race team is something overlooked by many.

And can explain the price/cost of homologated bits and pieces and even whole cars when the development process seems to have been largely borne by the two homologation teams.

If the number quoted around GM’s contribution to a new homologation team is accurate at $500k (unclear if it’s a one off or annual..), it’s hard to see progress without the uncommercial largess of the future new factory anointed homologation team…

Not necessarily, what if the new T8 engine shop is actually KRE under a different name? There may be ways to get around the problem that is out of GM's control.

It won’t fund a Gen3 chassis if the BRT ad is anything to go by..
