There's this thing on a license plate called "character limit." That's just a creative way to get around it.

Got to wonder where the PR flack was on this one. He / she was definitely asleep at the wheel

Anyone work out yet why the pic was altered...

The spacing on the 'I' doesn't look correct and his finger has been played with...?

Otherwise an amusing pic...

Well according to here

The plates do exist.

Which I thinks say more about the knuckle dragger that paid the $600 odd dollars for them, than Craig just holding them up for a photo.

It generally has nothing to do with character limit - but the fact that others have the same plate you wanted - so you substitute letters.

eg VIC already has on issue GREAT, GR3AT, GR34T and GRATE, GR4TE, GRAT3, GR4T3 - all variations of the same word. (Doesn't mean these are actually on the road btw)

The plates do exist.

It doesn't say the plates exist - it says:

"PLATE CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE"

There is a difference!

When I say exist, I mean someone already has them.

The "PLATE CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE" means that plate is already taken.

So the Telecrap falls for a photoshopped pic...

Not surprising really. All you have to do is send them any old "photo" and they run with it for a "story"....

If CL doesn't come out and deny it then it would appear to be an admission of guilt.

You can in WA
Only state that allows up to 9 digits. SA is 7, everywhere else is 6 (apparently VIC were going to bring in 7 digits, but not sure if they have yet)

I wonder what he will use as a Farm Truck once he hands back the keys to the F250? Colorado maybe?

Once again, where has he breached his contract? He's still signed holden gear in the time he's been employed by ford. As much as i hate plates which say things like 'h8frd' etc, lowndes hasn't done anything wrong.

He will need something with some grunt and a bit of room to tow that van and to put the ruggies...

I'll try and upset blue & red here

Lowndesy was quite complimentary to Ford in the lead up to the final round, but he still ruffles the feathers of some hysterical Ford tragics doesn't he. As said earlier, throughout his Ford era he has happily signed Holden shirts and die casts for the fans.

I'm sure it would be a breach of contract if he was seen "giving away" Beep Beep Barinas on the Norton ads instead of Uncle Festers, but as long as he isn't shown with the controversial number plates fitted to his own car I can't see a problem. They are probably off Jamie and Rolands cars.

Now as for what will replace the F250 to tow the horse float, I don't know if Daewoo have such a vehicle in their current range that could have Holden badges glued on it ?
