KayBee should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Car 91 is a regular competitor in the BARC North West Sports and Saloons which this year is sponsored by CNC Heads. He should be racing at Mallory on May 1st.

Al, I am not aware of any existing series that caters soley for these sorts of cars & I know that a large number of cars/ owners are being tempted out that have not raced for years. The feedback that I have received personally, the club have received & that has been posted on 10-Tenths indicates that people have been "crying out for such a series for years" (direct quote from a potentional participant).

Hi sorry a little off topic but did you get any photos of the clio cup car on wednesday ?Buy the way i have had my paper work come through for the Mallory bank holiday meeting which i will be driving the ex John Edwards Escort mk2 BDG thundersaloon. as for the eligibility of the cars for next year i think it will depend on if they use the original special saloon regs to keep cars as they were in period. if this is the case then they would not be elligable.

The CSCC will have a Test & PR session at Mallory on Wednesday29 June 2011 in support of this event. Potential participants who registered their interest in the August Bank Holiday Monday Special Saloons/ Modsports/ Thundersaloons Revival Race should have received an invite to attend this Test & PR event. Vauxhall are supporting the day & it is hoped that the national press will be present with passenger rides possible in suitable cars to invited guests during the lunch break.

Sorry I didn't. I was having camera problems. I did snap most cars but the Clio is probably one of those that's a total blur.

All seems to have gone quiet. Is there a published list of all the cars that have been invited to the Mallory race yet. Really looking forward to it.

I don't think its gone quiet, see my post 5 above on 28 April. There is a free test day being organised on 29 june to which all respondents have been invited. The public are welcome to attend as at any other wednesday test session at mallory & it is hoped for national press involvement.

My first Sunbeam Lotus (or the same current one using 'Triggers Broom' Theory) which I went on to race in various Sports Saloon races against Thunder/Special Saloons and Sports, once achieving a 3rd overall and 1st in class on a freshly wet track NW race at Cadwell in 1987, I had the choice of my yoko road tyres or a set of 2nd hand slicks. Having qualified midfield...I thought 'nothing to loose'...choose the slick,s and it paid off
