I'd recommend running for the hills as all sorts of people will be on telling you to search for the 10,000,001 threads on this that already exist!

Me, I'd buy the maycom :-)

Which scanner?

I`m looking to upgrade to flaggie this year, and want to get a scanner. I know the maycom ar108 is a popular choice, but apparently the fr100 is the upgraded version of it. any opinions?

Have a search of this forum. It's been discussed many, many times... ok the FR100 maybe not so much, but there are opinions available on it.

Why not try a search on the internet for radio or scanner holsters/pouches/cases .... many companies that sell radios and scanners will have something or if not you'll find one that does kit for medics/police/security firms etc, you'll just need to find a suitable size/shape

Just a thought

Dave

Loads of peeps used the Viper belt, readily available from Ebay etc and just use the pouch that fits best. My scanner lives in a pouch in my bag, but the belt is long gone! I just pop it in my top pocket.

As my learned friend says one of the belt kits designed for forces / police services should have a suitable pouch and the popular auction site is a good place to start, I got my pouch from then a few years ago and it's still going strong

As mentioned above Viper Kit
Personally I use this pouch, excellent quality & value. Just attach to any belt or get one from your local B&Q - Durakit range
http://www.viperkit.co.uk/site/index...productId=1031

My Uniden UBC3500XLT fits perfectly in it too

Jack Wolfskin do some nice cases which, although not intended for scanners do the job very well. I keep the i-Phone in one and it is very secure.

Also look at the Watson range of radio cases available from Waters and Stanton, Martin Lynch etc. As metioned previously DynaMed, now part of SP Services, do some excellent cases
