Rache should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Twice British Ladies Rally Champion Barbara Armstrong kicked ass today in her debut race for the Porsche Cup....after only completing 5 laps in the qualifying session she was 7th on the grid for the race, then came third overall!

Word is that a lot of the more seasoned male competitors didn't even come and congratulate her....sour grapes perchance??

Go Babs!!!!

... ill never understand why more women dont compete in motorsport. as there is no one-on-one physical challenges, racing is the only sport where women can compete against the boys w/o the need for massive physical prowress. the odds are more even.

even if the boy drivers dont like them, the fans sure love a lady driver!

go, girls! go!

It was a good drive, and I'm sure she'll improve through the year, but I do have to point out the reason she only completed 5 laps in qualifying was that she spun on the track, and rather than do a 3 point turn, she decided she could drive through the gravel trap. She couldn't.

We all have to learn. And if she came third in the race, she had it where it counted.

There are a number of women in sports car racing but they don't get much attention. It's too bad, but it will change.

Congratulations to her for a good successful drive. And no matter what her mother tells her, it really doesn't matter if men approve of everything you do.
