One thing I remember noticing off the results sheet - Martin O'Connell driving the second Team Avanti car.
I'd guess this was a stand-in, as Martin is supposed to be doing SportsRacing World Cup in a Pilbeam this year, sharing with Carway. |

According to Les in the touring car forum, Darren Malkin was seen in the Avanti pit yesterday... and he announced today he will be tearing up his contract to race a BTCC Alfa 147 this year... coincidence ? Probably not.

Judging by the form of Avanti yesterday it looks like a plum drive to land. As for Mr. Malkin, I remain to be convinced. Having said that I'm more convinced about Matt Davies than I ws 3 days ago.

Ah i see you have now come to your senses!
I do feel that you will see some driver changes within Team Avanti, i`m not sure where you saw Darren Malkin from though! May be a Yugo thou! |

Farcnield, yep, I was impressed. So Milos is in line for the other seat, interesting. The way Matt went on Sunday I hope a certain Team Rosberg driver is kicking himself. Then again Matt might have scared him off.....

Well i assume that it`s all a matter of money as usual, i know he was floating about the pits but as far as Malkin, i don`t know where that came from! And yes after his press release i hope that a certain driver has flushed checks due to embarrassment.

did ne 1 else know that this certain driver had appendicitus recently!! so has missed quite a bit of testing! just thought it was a ncie piece of gossip for u all

Yes i do believe it, there was a sick young man about 1 week ago with apendicitus, and wasn`t able to do the testing he was supposed to, or was it another more common motorsport aliment i wonder, fiscalitus montius! is more probable.
