WTCC Classic support race Brands 26/27th July
Ok guys who's doing this one? Following the F1 classic support it seems this is fast becoming the thing to do. The old GP circuit should be great, if not a little to long for our Lancia!
Lets hope for good weather and a good race. |

I keep checking the MSV and CSCC websites with info about the event but no news. I hope that MSV are keeping CSCC abreast of things more than they are the potential paying public !!
I seem to remember you have a Saturday Qually and 2 short-ish (20 and 30 mins??) races on the Sunday?? Will there be a driver-change in the races or are the 2-driver entrants having one driver per race?? |

Elio. no driver changes for this meeting.

As you say, there are no driver changes but there are two races, one 20mins and one 30mins, you just have to decide who does what.
I am looking forward to this as I only got three laps in when I took the F3 Brabham to the Autoglym Brands race a few weeks ago. Hopefully the Sabre will last a little longer! Practice is late afternoon on the Saturday and both the races are on the Sunday |

First outing in my GT6 since smashing my hand to bits with the trailer winch so I've opted for the 20 min sprint and usual co-driver Jon wil do the 30 mins. After the dissapointment of having my Le Mans Classic drive withdrawn I can't wait to get back in a race seat and Brands GP is a new one for me - can't wait.

I hear the timetable might change, any idea when the Swinging Sixties may be? Although I'm sure we'll know soon.
I'm looking forward to it, and I'm only a reserve! |

Are you coming far Moosehead? We are lucky in that we can make it on Saturday morning, even though it is now for 11am!
I guess they'll be a lot of tea drank during Saturday and Sunday... |

Indeed a fantastic meeting. And it shows how far forward the club have come and how respected it must be to get this support race, congratulations and thanks to all involved, looking forward to the next "big one!"
Good to hear that those who were treated after their "offs" are ok. |

Totally agree, fantastic weekend , excellent organisation as always by the CSCC team. The hospitality was a great idea and very much appreciated......many thanks to the sponsors involved in that.
The unusually hot weather played havoc with a few cars including mine. Ok out on track but the queue from assembly to the track caused overheating issues (actually this was mainly the Sat qualifying session, for the races the run out was a lot swifter), so elected to start both races from the pitlane. Race 1 went very well, managed to move up from 44th to 22nd though couldn't pull max revs but wasn't too concerned. Unfortunately race 2 only lasted as far as the 'Cooper Straight' when the top rad hose came off which was a shame as I'd just passed 'Pretty Vacant' Managed to coast into the pitlane but despite borrowing tools from one of the WTCC teams couldn't get the hose to stay on. Game over Talking of games, I believe I was 4th in the CSCC virtual Nordschleife race which was great fun Many thanks to all the marshals especially those who had the unenviable task of trying to push a dead Mustang uphill into the pit lane entrance after race 1!! |

Cracking picture, shame about the car though. Safety Car sign came out as I crossed the start/finish, came round Paddock looked to the right and all I could see was a huge cloud of smoke rising from behind the trees......my mind went straight to that scene from the movie 'Grand Prix' and the Monza accident!

It did have a bit about it like that Monza thing yes. Very glad to see him out and away but a shame he pulled in so far from the marshals!

It was so sad to see the car like that.
We all had a great time and was so nice to be able to spend time chatting to the drivers instead of you all rushing around. Thanks to everyone involved at CSCC for a great job all weekend. My heart was in my mouth several times watching the action especially when Mark in Spitfire & Jon Wolfe in the GT6 decided to go around paddock hill bend together. Glad to hear that guys are ok who had the accidents. see you at Oulton Diane |

Moose. Great weekend, shame about the second race, you had a belter in the first from the pitlane! Talk about giving yourself some work to do!
Mind you if you have time to think about films when you're driving................. Great new kit for the team by the way! Hope to see you Sat if you have time |

Can I just post my thanks to all that helped out in the Pits & Startline over the weekend? Especially to Darryl & Bryan, whose input was invaluable.
We're all going to be back there for the DTM - http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108683 So please come |

Can anyone point me to the results for these races. The CSCC site does not show them and MST / TSL doesn't either.
