SPARK Msport should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have a feeling Hot Wheels and MG will depart before next season...which could leave the MG Sport and Racing team in trouble. I think MG could do it, thats if they get the car sorted BEFORE the start of the season and not near the end.

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Read Autosport. There is an extensive srticle which gives the impression they are still fully commited.

According to Carly Pellinkhof, James Hansen and Tom Ferrier wanted that factory team Schitzer would run their BTCC BMW's, but at Schnitzer's request Carly will do the job. He said also that the project is still not 100% certain because of the funding.

He has also confirmed that Carly Motors will enter ETCC in 2004.

Is this Schnitzer team the same one that ran bmws in the btcc in the mid-ninties?

What spec will the Carly cars be? '02, '03s or brand new '04s? '03s updated to '04s? So the cars will be built/supported by Schnitzer, but run by Carly? Will BMW Uk support the team in any meaningful way?

I think it will be '04 cars which are build/runned by Carly, but off course they use parts from BMW Motorsport. In the interview with Carly Pellinkhof BMW UK wasn't mentioned.

Not them as far as I know. The team will run with the Schnitzer name as they are actually the UK importer of Schnitzers road cars..

I think this 17 year old question was answered as best as we will ever know 17 years ago:

https://tentenths.com/forum/showpost...9&postcount=54

https://tentenths.com/forum/showpost...1&postcount=61

Unless you are aware of something that has occurred recently that has brought this question back into relevance?

On the face of it, the entry could have been added to an ever-increasing list of:
Team/driver announces plan to enter, go on the hunt for financial backing, fail to secure backing, entry never made.

This! This is the question that needs answering in 2021!

Thanks porsche962fan - made me smile anyway!! Looking forward to finding out why Kia never did enter the series...

Wonder how Carly would have fared in the 2004 BTCC?
