This is where a code 60 would be great to have. It was just a stalled car situation. Very disappointing. I hate safety cars due to stalled cars and debris. Major pet peeve of mine.

I presume what will happen is the 55 and 77 will not pit, get the wave around, and then pit and rejoin the back of the pack on the lead lap. I think.

The car is recovered but the FCY takes longer than the recovery as you open the pits at different times for different classes and laps (so they don't kill people in an overcorwded pit lane), and it takes 2 laps for the wavearound to work, so you don't go green with some cars at 50mph and some cars at 200mph.

They're also doing a track clean up.

Does the efforts in the past several hours mean nothing now due to a single safety car deployed due to a stalled car on track? These guys worked hard to obtain that 1 minute lead or whatever example you can make. It means nothing unless you can obtain a 2 lap lead due to the wave arounds in fact. That green flag stop to change the breaks by the #24 BMW could have meant something. Its been forgotten now. See what the problem is here. With the cars so reliable now. Its more important to ensure that these events that costs teams a handful of seconds here and there mean something to the overall story of the endurance race. This is not 1994 sportscar racing anymore.
