1994 Macau Guia Winner Photo

Hi all,

Anyone out there have a photo (or can refer me to a photo) of Joachim Winkelhock's BMW during the 1994 Macau Guia race?

Thanks in advance.

I agree, wrong forum here, but I'd put it into the touring car forum, that's where all the supertouring experts are.

Will pics of a 1/43 replica model do? It was created with aftermarket decals. BTW, why do you need one?

Perhaps Monkey Head can help us look for it on this website. There was a guy who seemed to have posted pictures of all the cars from the Macau race for the past 10-15 yrs. I knew I should have saved all his pictures when I had a chance!

It was previously hosted at this website, but I can't figure out if there's a search button.

Hi folks,

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated. Likewise I couldn't access that link.

Yes even a photo of a model would be great.

I own a BMW E36 Supertourer that legend has it that Winkelhock drove it in Macau, just trying to find out a bit more about it.

Thanks

So you actually bought the real thing??? Is the car you bought still in it's original paint scheme or were you interested in converting the car back to the original '94 Macau paint scheme? I'll try to get pics of my 1/43 model car for you tomorrow.

Maybe.

E36ST has this car, as raced by Alex Burgstaller raced in 1995 STW. There's a suggestion that it may have also been used by Winkelhock at Macau, we assume in 1994 since it's a 94 chassis.

As Redshoes mentioned, there is a possibility but I'm trying to find out more.

I actually prefer it in it's present (STW 95) livery but knowing what it looked like when (possibly) raced in Macau just helps build the picture a bit more. I now know that it could be in San Miguel livery, instead of just 'the car Winkelhock may have driven in Macau'.

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated.

Here's a link, albeit with asian commentary, to some highlights of the 1995 race, Winkelhock and Soper flying...
