Now that I realise that it's the avatar picture I've looked more closely at it and conclude that it can't be a UK circuit, the sky is the wrong colour...

Judging by the grin, this was the year at Silverstone Classic when all 10 of Ecurie Delta finished every race 2008?

Of course, it could be any time in the last 10 years outside the local MoT test station.

We have had a torrid time this year with a new car in the Delta camp. FormulaJunior Taraschi. Fiat engine and we had just about had to have the head of at every race . Engine out often and back to the engine builders but still we were plagued with problems . After testing on the Friday sure enough head gasket blown again and this was tone drivers last race as he went back to Australia .We got the head off Friday evening and decided to fit two!!!! Head gaskets . He went on and won his class in. Org races and the. At had never gone so well . Happy days so as we left Snetterton Paul Lawrence was walking over and waved . Happy New Year .

A little late in the day, but I wish all Tenthers a very Merry Xmas from Sunny Tenerife........where I'm screwing up my courage (and my thermals) for the return to UK tomorrow. Can someone please turn the UK national thermostat up ?

Richard, we're currently experiencing strong winds coming from the south-west so you might even get back to Blighty a bit sooner than anticipated - you could even be in time to pick up some bargains at the Sales!!

It's coming from the south-west, so can I blame Gordon (assuming he's in Spain)?

Now that Christmas is over & we are back to normal here, it is of course once again raining....

£2,100 for a replacement rear axle fitted to an MGB - I take it I've been 'done'? Probably not deliberately but I think the workshop allowed costs to get away from themselves and I'll have to pay for it in the end.

It started off as a knocking diff that needed to be sorted for approx £500 estimated but when the workshop sent it to their 'specialist' he said the axle was past it. I suggested getting a newly reconditioned one from Moss or MGOC for about £900 plus labour of course. But they said it would be cheaper to get a decent second axle for about £200 and make up a decent one up from the two. Next thing I hear - 'would you like to come and collect your car and by the way it's £2,100'.

Made my Christmas!

Ouch Gazza . I'm trying to think what we would of charged you , but if they have done all that work and it's a good job that will last the car out then that's not a bad price .

With a new year almost upon us, no doubt Peter will be launching the 2018 version of the Delta Tea Break theme at the appropriate time, therefore it might be a good idea to start looking for those shoes that were 'kicked off' last January!

Which reminds me. The wife of a good friend rang me over the weekend, and said that her husband spent all his time poking a stick under the sofa, and she thought he had gone mad. I said no he's just lost his marbles.

Where's me coat?

Isn’t that what pit crew and signals are for, or are you like another racer of my acquaintance- you can’t read the numbers on pit boards either..... ?

It's because so many people tried to understand Bob by walking a mile in his shoes. Now they're a mile away and have got his shoes.

So much I like about Christmas, especially the opportunity to re-cycle old jokes and yet be forgiven. I hope.
