Speed Tribe DVD
Anybody else here have the Speed Tribe dvd besides me? I absolutely love it. Especially the driver interviews. Most of the music fits the mood that was of the 2001 LeMans race. The soundtrack that came with it was a little weird though. But overall the presentation was cool. Very different!

Me too. Excellent. Fave bit is Oreca Chrysler on the run up to Dunlop, all alone early on Sunday morning. Captures a moment in time so that it feels like yesterday for me.

Yeah, it is amazing. I did read that they were looking to do a second one, and even attended the race to collect footage. But that was a few years ago now so probably not.

i have it and love it also. my favourite bit has to be cars going along the mulsanne at night in the wet, with the marshalls looking on...you can literally feel the rain dripping from the trees. at one point towards the end i'm actually in it...wandering past the bentley at the end during the chaos on the start/finish straight. plus as you say modifica...the music suits what was a quite surreal 24 heures.

I love on the 2nd version where they show at night the Saleen accelerating on the start/finish straightaway, followed by the Oreca car.

One of the most perfect DVD's ever released. I still enjoy watching it.

I only picked it up a few weeks ago but bought back a lot of memories of my first Le Mans visit. Splendid stuff.
PS Going to move this to the Armchair. |

I couldn't even sit through the whole thing. I would advise someone considering buying it to actually view it first, unless they're _really_ into techno music and/or psychedelic drugs.

Well I'm not but, to me at least, the music is simply a backdrop to the visuals. I suspect it is a similar thing for anyone who has ever been to LM.

It is flawed, not quite tidy enough, the shots were not fully thought out in my opinion. It is still mega

i love it, especially the part where they turn the music off or down or what ever and they just show the cars running down into mulsannes corner in the middle of the night. i just loved the sounds from the cars in that 5 minutes alone. the rest...er...well, its different. some one should make a speed tribe equivalent dvd where its just the engine sounds and no funky music, announcers who somewhat know what their talking about, or anything else of that sort. purely cars.
