South Downs Stages - Goodwood

Bognor Regis & Southsea Motor Club - Proudly present the 4th running of the TOWNCROSS ENGINEERING South Downs Stages on Saturday February 2nd 2008
At the delightful Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit.
This is a small friendly event with a start time of first car at 0900 lunch 1200 – 1300 finish 1600hrs.
Full entry list plus reserves so a good day on the cards.
This event is open to spectators entry to the circuit is free.
Marshals contact under marshals wanted.

Unfortunately not

We didn't think it was worth the risk - with the problems we had leading up to Longmoor it was a big risk commiting to another event, we didn't want to put in an entry and then have to pull it if the car didn't survive Longmoor. We're not a big budget operation so a serious problem can put us out of action for months (and to be honest we've pretty much blown the budget for this year already

).

We'll probably be back out for the Mini-Tempest as our next event - who knows, we may even finish the "to do" list on the car this time

You can walk around the 2.4 miles and even take pictures of the wild life as well in the lunch break!

www.southdownsstages.co.uk entry list is there and about a week prior to the event stage plans will be, (so I've been told)
Most around the circuit plus a little bit in a car park at the start.
Service area can be accessed via the subway from the car park.

Info if anybody decides to turn up and marshal on the day.

Sign on will be from at least 0700 up until 0800
You will find sign on by coming in the main gate then turn left, we will be up on the right hand side at the start of the car park.
Marshals briefing is at 0815 that will give everyone time to be on post ready for the stewards just prior to first car which owing to time limits will start on time. (0901)
There are toilets at sign on but the burger van which should be open at that time is a five min walk each way so if you need food please be early.

Will warn the female population of Susex that you and UDB are on the "prowl" and that any invites to come in and see my new etchings in the motorhome should be rejected.

Unfortunately not for the firsy time I hav to stay in for the Boiler man to come and fix the central heating M (she who must be obeyed) is of for a dress fitting for the forthcoming nuptuals of Kathryn.

Have a good day. If you need a pitstop on the way there or back UBD knows where we are and in this area we are used to having "travellers" in the area.

I'm not enamoured with Goodwood for photos but we'll give it a whirl. Different cars so it should be fun.

The chicanes will slow them down so you can take you pics.
And I wont be moving very fast!!

And the car on the left is bigger in real life so you should see it OK.

Can't help there the paperwork is still in the car mixed with all the other until at least tomorrow.
And after setting up yesterday all my hard work all day and clearing up this eve as we had to clear the circuit, I forgot to pick the sheet up.
Then back in the morning to take the kit back to store.
Do you feel sorry for me?
