32 listed for Mosport at the moment, and the Risi-Go-Round looks to be Vilander and Kaffer for the #61.

I thought it was Salo and Kaffer since Vilander should be with Fishi and Alesi in Hungary.

It should be Salo and Kaffer because they have a clue about GT racing in multiple classes.

I say more importantly Salo, 2007 Driver's Co-Champion and Kaffer competitor for the entire 2009 season both have experience over the other two. Either Fishi or Vilander have made errors during the race that has put the #61 car back, both made contact with slower cars.

Vilander has experience running at the front of the field, not having to pass not only fellow GT cars, but GTC cars of varying degrees of talent behind the wheel and also keep a-look out for the Prototypes.

I don't have any problems with either Fishi or Toni, I just think in crunch time experience trumps over outright speed.

Oops I didn't notice that, well that would make sense no LMS to clash with. I would also say Kaffer was exposed a bit as liability when he needed to pass Magnasen for the win, he didn't quite get it done.

I personally think all things equal both Melo and Bruni are faster than any other driver pairing in GT, either would have made the pass.

As we saw at Mid Ohio...

I'm loving how IMSA is releasing entry lists weeks in advance rather than a couple of days before the race weekend began, as in the past.

There is a young driver trying to use racing to help make people aware of environmental issues and guess what "green" racing series she is using to push her message? I'll give you a hint - it's not ALMS.
Story on CNN.

Yeah, I just thought it was interesting because you don't often see any racing headlines on cnn homepage.
And if she is seeking "green" sponsors for stock cars that is taking away potential sponsors from alms teams who might want to exploit their series green credentials

On Wind Tunnel in 2006 someone wrote in to complain that CNN covered a NASCAR Nationwide race but didn't cover the Audi R10's win on debut at Sebring that same day. Which is more historic: the first ever major professional race win for a diesel engined car, or some NASCAR Bush League race won by a Cup driver driving for a Cup team?

Munter is a career stock car driver, so the chances of her deciding to learn how to turn right at this stage in her career are low. I would not expect any other direction for her to push her message. To be more cynical, she used to promote herself as a girl driving stock cars a few years ago, when that was rather unusual. Now, with several women having lined up for the ARCA opener at Daytona in 2010 including more famous ones (Danica) and younger ones (Alli Owens), she's found a new way to promote her existing career. Good for her! I don't think it is a harsh critique of the ALMS's agenda. That's not to exonerate them from criticism by any means; I'm merely suggesting there are more pertinent directions of argument that criticism could take.

Man, how fast is the Drayson car going to be with Cocker and Pirro and a larger restrictor?

In regards to the tweeks to the Jag, is that an increase or decrease in weight and restrictor?

Even with Cocker, the Judd has not been able to keep pace with the AER V8 and it's much larger air restrictor that IMSA allows.

Although I agree that the Judd wasn't as 'fast' as the AER, the JUDD is rock solid reliable and the AER, at least in the hands of Autocon and Intersport, has not been.

I would imagine that it is being matched to what the Rebellion cars are running in the LMS, to better equalize it to the diesels.

It was mentioned on the RA broadcast that Dale White et al. have not been trimming out the Drayson car as much as they would if the Lord was not aboard. More downforce hurts them on the straights but less so than if it was binned in the corner when the driver doesn't have as much grip as he needs to feel comfortable. The AER V8 is probably still the quicker engine but this break will just compensate a bit for their setup compromise.
