touringcarnut should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
When will these clapped out PMR astras be too old to be eligible for entry? We must be near the end of the eligibility for the model?

Homologation last for five years after that model is no longer available for ale

The Astra that PMR use only stopped being produced and sold last year when the new Astra was introduced

So the current Astra would be eligible until 2027

I would guess he will race something. If he is in the BTCC this year, I reckon Speedworks Toyota is the most likely, but the 3rd PMR seat may work for him and would be a reunion with his Yazoo/Safuu Team HARD 2021-2022 teammate ATS.
I thought BRDC membership was results based?

Sticking with the current astra and 3rd driver announcement next week
Might have just been a coincidence, but Senna Proctor posted a pic of his first run in the Astra on Instagram, could be a hint!

Would be quite a letdown if Proctor was in PMR but that's still a lot lot better than not being on the grid at all!

Thanks for the information, as I've often wondered that.

Unless Dynamics drop out they don’t have an TBLs or cars. Also stepping up (to?) their effort in GTWC Europe so doubt they’d reintroduce the BTCC program too!

My thoughts as well. Team Parker are entering multiple cars in PCCGB and Sprint Challenge GB, with single-car Porsche 911 (992-spec) GT3 entries in the Le Mans Cup and GTWCE Endurance Cup, and some scheduled appearances in Carrera Cup Benelux.

Those are generally Associate members though.

It looks like Nic has full membership, which the committee is able to award in exceptional cases for drivers who haven't achieved the necessary results, but who are extraordinary.

So Nic's sim racing or racing with a disability could both be taken into account.

The stories about him racing, getting dislocated ribs put back in, then flying off to do public speaking about his condition and racing, then doing that on repeat for the whole season is remarkable for someone with his condition. Deserves the credit the BRDC have given him.

Does anyone know what has happened to the two Moffat tbl’s? Is it likely they will be utilised ?

Based on press releases and suggestions by OneMotorsport - they will use one (to expand up to 4 cars) and the other one will possibly go back to TOCA

Strange a year ago there was no entries available and it was said they were worth money and one year on they cannot be given away

When did Moffat decide to move to One and dispose of the surplus TBL? I think that may be part of the issue.

There aren't many spare (current spec) cars available so whoever acquired the TBL would need to built something new. That's not the work of a moment and takes a sizable investment, and no team will have that amount of spare cash laying around.

If the TBL was available at the end of last season then it would have given potential buyers chance to speak to sponsors/investors and put a funding package together. If the decision wasn't made until Jan/Feb this year, then realistically it's probably too late for anyone to do anything.

If that really is part of the problem then perhaps it is time for TOCA to start looking at a £100k refundable deposit on TBLs to try and ensure they'll get used.

You are always going to have transitory seasons, and it seems like 2023 will be one.

Prospective entries will now know there is capacity on the grid and can look to 2024.

Yea I seem to recall after the heady highs of 2004 the 2005 BTCC grid looked pretty threadbare.
