£49k for an early quattro.

Not sure why its described as a prototype, the LHD version had been in production for a while and i wouldnt think that an early car changing from LHD to RHD would classify car as a prototype, as though it was something special.

Nice car, but is it green or yellow? If green, very rare in that colour, but whoever restored it has neglected to paint the front panel showing behind the grille matt black. Think Ford just used an aerosol can......

Very sad event. Complete and total coincidence, but yesterday Banham Poultry were also in the news, as the firm announced they were going into administration. Hopefully will keep going as they are the biggest employer in the area by far- and on a more selfish note, their transport workshop looks after my truck!

Correction- Administrators not appointed yet, two potential purchasers talking.....

The auction car was a Sapphire 4 door, prob 2wd drive if an early one. (Unless that is a ‘4x4’ badge on the front wing above the indicator repeater?) Didn’t think they were that desirable, but maybe the fact that ‘proper’ Cossies are fetching big money has increased Sapphire values....... That and it’s very low mileage!

I noticed a lack of Motorsport TV on Sky this week and upon Googling it, it seems it has finally gone forever.

Most of the car and bike racing that I watch is via streaming from my laptop and projected to my tv via wifi.

I have found a very good streaming site on the net that if you know how you can get HD as well all free

No Mike, it's a 'H' registration, early 4x4 Cosworth. (You obviously know your Mk 1 Escorts however...)

I had one (4x4) as a road car for a while, which is why the script above the indicator repeater made me wonder....

Spotted an ad on the notice board in my local supermarket this morning for a 1925 Peugeot 175 Torpedo.

According to Wikipedia only three are known to survive, so could it be worth even more than an old Sierra?

You're right, really strange this kid of ad lands in a supermarket. May be part of an heritage? Or may be this Peugeot 175 is a small replacement motorbike, we had a good production of those, say between 49 et 175 centimètres cubes.

Yes, Bauble, nothing comparable with THE bike industry born in England.

No Gerard, it's a car, a blue one, as there is a slightly fuzzy photo, just a hand-written ad with a phone number.

I'll read it a bit more closely next time now I know it could be a rarity. It's the same place I found my 205 so perhaps it is a good spot for Peugeot sellers!
