Corse Clienti Ferrari LMP1
The Ferrari/Maserati customer department has said they will build whatever there customers want, hence the 360GTC and 575GTC.
The Maserati Trofeo GT was also built after customer interest. Now with the LMES, hopefully, sparking a revival in European privateer/customer LMP teams, whats the chance that Corse Clienti will build a LMP1 car for customers. Surely its the next logical step now the LMES has arrived. Last edited by JAG; 12 Feb 2004 at 19:42. |

umm
I think one only has to look at the money spent on F1 to realize where the priorities are.
I don't see this happening as long as F1 is job 1. |

I'd say the next logical step would be to concentrate on GTS, and that sadly, we can't expect an LMP...

"This department is independent of the F1 team.
It is specifically for customer race programs." All development for new programs comes from Ferrari corporate. Although the departments are different in terms of specific responsibilities, the money still comes from the same place. |

If there is demand, they will make it to satisfy customer needs, and make a profit. They must have made a fortune from the 575GTC. |

if the old 333SP is any indication of chassis longevity and car performace than a new Ferrari LMP will only be fantastic.

Something like this I suppose
Don't worry, that isn't real, just edited a roof on to it using paint! |

it does look like a DP - the body work over hte engine would have to be a bit more snug, and the windscreen line taken in a bit- and make it a long tail,...

I've always thought of the 333sp as the archetypal open prototype of recent years - terrible shame to talk of adding a roof...

Nice tweak with the paint, given what you had to work with...
But if Ferrari or this "customer" company would build an Italina beast like this... I'd shave my DP's Butt (or my Debora's Butt) and drive my laps in reverse... (You get the idea...) |

It was only an example for a bit of fun! I'm sure there would be more advanced changes then what I did on it. They would most likely re-design it like gttouring said.

So that means if the Judd engined 333 was called a Fudd , the DP roofed version must be called a Dudd ! Stands to reason I suppose .

mind the photo work- i was at my friends house and all i have was a bitmap to play with- they has a better windscreen line and the air box is still too "fat" but with a little longer wheel base or making it long tail I am sure it can be fixed...
