I heard James Allen say "pigheaded" as DC was talking about Ferraris decision...
I've switched off now. It's the first race I've missed since about 1990. It is a shameful episode and I am seriously considering not bothering to go to the British GP if this is the way F1 sees its fans. Michelin, Ferrari and the FIA should all be ashamed. |

Blaming Michelin for everything that is happening now is shortsighted IMO. Obviously they are at fault for their defective tyres today, but this meltdown has had many contributors and has been years in the making.
Untold damage, but if it causes a few people to rethink their philosophy, then it will have been worth it. In a few years, we may have a decent race series again. |

I would advocate Mich doing a tyre change, wearing the penalty for it, and answering ot its customers (the teams) for its massive mistake.
If this had been Bridgestone, 6 teams (2 red cars) most would be singing they were in the garage, or looking for blood if Ferrari had a chicane put in. Dont buy into the Michelin spin, if they had produced a safe tyre, we would'nt have this problem would we. |

Unbelievable. People are so disgusted that they are stamping their feet and throwing things onto the track.

Ferrari has NOTHING to do with this. Michelin has a PR disaster to deal with, and no amount of spin will change this. This is shameful.

Its like Lemans in the days of the chicanless Mulsanne straight. Sometimes tyre companies get it wrong. Either cars are pulled, or the track is altered. |

Mitchelin are too hold blame of how the situation came about, but doesn't anyone think that for the good of the sport and the all the fans that the fia should of found a comprimise to make the race go ahead?

They COULD have made the race happen. They chose to collect the points and say goodbye to the US. F1 is more important than Ferrari, whoevers mistake it was. |

only 6 cars start....
something could have been done to get a full grid all those people paid to watch all the cars not just 6 |

Ferrari could have helped this situation Inigo. Unfortunately, as ever, they fail to see the bigger picture. I think this will damage their reputation more than agreeing to a chicane.
Michelin, for once, has been incompetent. The FIA and Ferrari have been shortsighted. |

Now I'm not sure whats more embarrassing. Michelin being the total tools they are (screwing up and then trying to shift blame for this disgrace to the opposition) or the fact there are those niave enough to believe it.

With only six cars starting, are the finishers actually eligible for points?

They Havn't got a podium, that was one of the trick questions on the Ten-Tenths quiz I'd like to point out that the track has been completely resurfaced, so erm, yeah...well, I guess that may have something to do with "Meechalens' " trouble. Btw, if all the cars happened to DNF, then how would the race order be sorted? |

Well, I'm speachless like everyone else I suppose.
All I can say to the US fans and those who've payed good money to see a motor race, is "sorry". Just crackers... |

It's days like these......
....... That make me interseted in F1 again
Michelin Beyond disgraceful there actions. FIA are also near disgraceful. Ferrari while not innocent at all should not be critised. Darkest day for F1 since San Marino 94 |

David Hobbs just said it best in my opinion.
He said turn one(or turn 13 for F1) at Indy has been there since 1909, you'd think since it's been there so long Michelin could have made a tire that could handle it. |
