Technically it's R18 TDI>R18 ultra>R18 e-tron quattro>R18 e-tron quattro. So actually nothing is solved anyways.
It's been policy since 2012 to keep names static to be like street cars anyways though, so you're pretty much forced to either use model years or chassis codes if you know them like street cars. They've also gone through at least four different tub designs anyways I think。 |

Two darn enduro races in a row now Corvette just teases everybody and then turns up the whick in the last 2 hours and runs away from the rest of the pack. I bet they get BoP'ed by IMSA and don't win a race for the rest of 2016 now. But they won't mind because they got the 36 hours of Florida. Ultimately that and Le Mans matters to them most.

if one of the non factory cars has an incident in practice i wonder if they will be able to utilise the spare if the two factory cars are alright

Two things:
1) If Larbre is using its 2015 chassis and AAI a former factory chassis, what happened to the other factory chassis? 2) As there's a spare chassis for the factory team, might we see a WEC entry at COTA with that third chassis? |
