BT21 chassis numbers

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. My newly acquired FB Bt21 has no chassis number on the instrument panel. It does have a Arch Motors number. Is there any archives to match an AM# to the chassis #? It was owned by a New York resident in 1968. He's long gone. A gap in the history from 1972 to 1986.
Thank you
Al

Al, who was the New Yorker? And, is there a stamp of the roll hoop? If it raced after 1972, and the roll hoop's original, then it should have SCCA identification. This may help.
It's probably a BT21A rather than a BT21 if it raced in FB.

Chris

No chassis plate known to have been fitted , but always known by it's AM number 283.

Through various hands as you describe and at this time and since circa 1984 with Bill McCrorie , who obtained the originall Cosworth SCB and refitted it to the car.
