According to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach website, Toyota's sponsorship is in part through Toyota Motor Sales, USA and Toyota Racing.

Oh and sounds like things are rotten down in Louisiana, but then these deals that always put Billy Bob Taxpayer on the hook always end up going bad:

Like I predicted from the beginning this NOLA race would be a bust and financial disaster and that has proven to be the case.
Sounds like a right mess but the article doesn't say there won't be a future race, unless I missed something.

I believe it's the dealers in SoCal that actually pay the bill out of their marketing budgets. Perhaps other elements of Toyota throw out some extra nibbles.

When the holding company is bankrupt and the promoter is suing over hundreds of thousands in unpaid fees and the race is expected to be propped up by the Louisiana taxpayer every year with little other sources of revenue, I'd say that's a major catastrophic issue. With that type of situation going on what promoter in their right mind is going to stick their hand up and go me, me, me, pick me, I want to run that race! Maybe a magical unicorn will appear and save the day.
