It is also noteworthy that the 2nd Rahal/Letterman car #17 has quietly disappeared from the list - or hasn't it?
I miss this once great team. Here's hoping that Rahal, Jr. can get the ship going again so that next year, they will be back for an entire season. The 3G entry looks to be the only remaining seat that's available. Who is being linked to that ride? |

Servia is still scratchig for sponsorship, if he comes through I would guess him for the second Rahal seat. Don't count on it.
Antinucci was the rumored driver for 3G, correct me if I'm wrong. Don't count on his appearance either. |

I don't think Rahal intended to run more than one car, they've just changed numbers for some reason.

There are rumors flying around that FAZZT Racing is in trouble. That's what I read, nothing more.
They got an offer the other day for a volunteer to help with the second car, no reply. Last edited by JagtechOhio; 13 May 2010 at 15:56. |

I think this is the first year since 1997 that the Indy 500 and the Monaco GP will not be on the same day. I always looked forward to watching them both; two classics on the same day.

The IRL..... love writing that now, I feel so naughty.... the IRL took off the vertical rear wing wickers, that should be good for a couple of MPH from last year without the extra drag.

Kinda strange today. Kanaan did laps in all five of the AA cars. That means they were probably all set up identically, and his job was to make sure they were consistant.
Sounds like a Jim Russell driving school deal to me. That's as spec as spec can be, and 15% of the field. |

There's a benefit to it, Tony had so much trouble last year that he ended up in Mutoh's spare chassis. RHR has an evil car he couldn't figure out either.
So TK runs everybody's car to 223-225, says it's OK, and nobody can complain that they are way out of the ballpark. Talk about cars that take the driver out of the equation. They all should end up within 1 MPH of each other, or someone is screwing up. That's a strange definition of excellence. |

I see what you're saying, though I'm not entirely convinced, however the proof will be in the eating of the pudding.

so....after searching the thread for TV coverage schedule, i had to look elsewhere.
thought the Programming Schedule link would be helpful to others. no track activities on the tele in the states until Fast Friday. not sure about coverage "overseas". who is in the broadcast crew for ABC/race day? |

Tag was on track today, Junky is racing trucks in South America..no idea yet if he has a car for Indy.
I'm watching people turn laps today, and there really isn't much point to the schedule as it stands now. Most of these teams just don't need that much practice time, and nobody shows up to watch. How about this...couple days to practice, one day to qualify, and a qualifying race on the Saturday before the 500. Maybe 150 mi, that determines final qualifying position. Pays points and money from the current qualifyling fund. Couldn't you sell tickets and TV time for that? You could still have a bump day for last chance entries on Sunday. Why doesn't that work better? |

Dan Wheldon just made contact on the wall just out of turn 4 on the main straightaway. He is fine.

You're not kidding, that did look close.
Wheldon dug himself a hole just like this last year. |
