badly translated but looks like it took place yesterday

F1 Historic:

Patric D'Aubreby protects itself round record

About 10 000 spectators visited on Saturday and Sunday the 2nd AAA road service F1 Historic. Near exciting runnings of the world mastery TGP F1 with F1-Boliden from the years from 1965 to 1985 and the euroboss-series by vehicles till 2001 Car Challenge on the 3.4 km long Grand Prix-short binding were to be seen also the German formula 3 and the sport. To be able to experience very closely the originalen working devices of Niki Lauda, Mario Andretti or Michael Schumacher, allowed to hit the hearts of real motor sport fans higher. However, above all on the distance the Boliden can still arouse enthusiasm with hard 2-fights. Thus euroboss-pilot Patric D'Aubreby with the former working device of Michael Schumacher of 1993, a Benetton Ford V8, with a round time of 1:13,131 minutes protected himself the new round record on the Grand Prix-short binding.

EuroBOSS 2005 - Round 1/2

Hello from EuroBOSS...
Here for all a little race report from the first race weekend, plus preview zolder.

EuroBOSS
Eurospeedway Lausitz (D), July 2/3, Rd 1/2

Hire a car and win…
First EuroBOSS double header event saw 12 cars practice for saturday`s sprint race with Klaas Zwart/Ascari Judd on pole. A hard fight with Patrick D`Aubreby/Benetton Ford ended with rear hub failure on the last lap for D`Aubrebys ex-Schumacher Benetton so K-H Becker/Minardi Cosworth grabed a lucky second place. The Main Race over 18 laps on Sunday saw D`Aubreby (hired Klaas Zwart’s spare car for this race), start from the back of the grid, Zwart, Kilty and Becker are disqualified for ignoring a drive through penalty for a false start…and therefore D`Aubreby was the lucky winner, and Becker was reinstated after organisers admitted they had penalised the wrong car. A hard battle between de Boer, Hansford and Milavec went to the rapid Dutchman on the last lap. By Ch.G.

Results: Race 1 1 Klaas Zwart (Ascari Judd V10), 8 laps in 10m01.609s; 2 Karl-Heinz Becker (Minardi Cosworth V8), + 39.965s; 3 Roger Kilty (Reynard Cosworth V8); 4 Peter Milavec (Lola Cosworth V8); 5 Henk de Boer (Coloni Cosworth V8), 6 Patrick D’Aubreby etc.
FL Patrick D`Aubreby 1m13.131s (169.438 km/h) New Outright Lap Record for the DTM Circuit!

Results: Race 2 1 Patrick D`Aubreby (Ascari Judd V10), 18 laps in 23m52.602s; 2 K-H Becker 3 Henk de Boer; 4 Peter Milavec; 5 Tony Hansford (Arrows Cosworth V8); 6 Joachim Ryschka (G-Force IRL Chevrolet V8); etc.
FL Patric D`Aubreby 1m14.039s (167.360 km/h)

Next Race: "Zolder Super Prix" 16./17.July
Entry 10cars, as Lausitz, plus Juergen Lohmanns Zakspeed F1, but no Sayles, Milavec, or Wagner.

Wasn't bad, but a bit of a daft show between Zwart and sort-of-almost-son-in-law Coronel. Trading places every lap and not even racing properly. Done to keep the spectators happy I guess, but it didn't turn out that way.

About the results:
Lohmanns didn't even practice.

Maybe just by showing up? He was there, but did not practice or race.
And I went to Chimay to meet Zefarelli, on the Sunday, if you mean the Historic Meeting.
Wasn't bad at all, just the weather didn't play along.

Remembering Freddy Careca

Yesterday it completed five years since Euroboss driver Fritz Glatz (aka Freddy Careca, Pierre Chauvet, Umberto Calvo) passed away on a racing accident during the 2002 Brno round.
Glatz, an Austrian, was a regular F2 driver in the 1980s and, on his latter days, preferred to enjoy the good old days, racing on Euroboss series.
Today I found the pic of the Arrows he raced on EuroBOSS:

RIP Freddy Careca.

Thanks 'Mekola' for your remember.
I was there 2002 in Most/CZ for this race, it was a horrible accident and it is the blackest and saddest day in EuroBOSS history!
'Frederico' was a very friendly man, always time for some small talk, no problems for the fans to make a photo with him or to get an autograph.
We miss Fritz really! RIP
