JGTC round for Aus

I see talk in the Sports Car forum of a JGTC round in Australia. Toyota would support it to increase pressure on Avesco & with James Courtney driving a Toyota would get plenty of local press.
The Skylines would give local motor racing an opportunity to pull in all those crazies out there punting those look a like Godzillas.

There isn't any GT-R's anymore....

JGTC is Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship, Supra, NSX, 350Z racing etc..

Is this for the 'new' track (that hasn't been built yet, and possibly won't ever) in Bunbury, WA again?

I would have thought Andrew Fox at Phillip Island is a real chance &/or the much vaunted 2nd meet each year at Bathurst. Right time zone for live TV into Japan.

I feel that Phillip Island would be the ideal circuit for these cars.

And the Fox group want to get more events for their circuit.

racing in the US on Dec18. James Courtney entry is confirmed in the GT500 class.

as a driver of the 60s in my Cooper S i can imagine being told by some Coch0 that it was either a Falcon GT or GTS Monaro or nothing!! Bring it on..

Jappy sports cars are like the Toyota -one raced at Le Mans, yes/no.

I'd loke to think it might lead sports sedans into a new era based on JGTC rules - I know I'm a dreamer no Alfetta on the front row for more than 20 years (sorry Basil)
