Elva Mk 7S
For sale in the October 2010 issue of Octane is the ex Tony Lanfranchi (1963/64) car. Offered for sale by Gaël Regent (France?).
Another one for sale was the ex-Keith St John/Radio London car owned by Michael Henderson which was advertised in the Summer 2010 (ie the Australian summer) issue of The Oily Rag (The Journal of the HSRCA of NSW), but in the next issue it was withdrawn from sale. This latter issue had an article on ex-Radio London cars down under. The Elva had to be rebuilt in recent years after a severe crash, restored back to 1960s specifications around a replacement chassis constructed on the original Elva jigs by Elva Racing Components in England. “The wrecked chassis was cut up and dumped.” [posts 5, 6 and 13 refer to Michael Henderson's car] |

I recently acquired Elva Mk7 70-006, which according to Lola factory records was originally sold to Stephen Minoprio and is one of the Equipe Elva(London) team cars. Originally listed as being simply "Green", I'd like to get it back into period livery and would greatly appreciate any info or photos on actual color, livery, markings, etc. Thanks!
Best, Tom Currently looks like this... |

Paul Linton Mk 7
Apologies for resurrecting this old thread.
I'd be grateful if anyone has any period pictures of the Paul Linton Mk 7. He raced, sometimes entered by Radio London, between 65 and 67, mostly in BARC and other Clubman events. Apparently white/purple, as per the first post in this thread. The car originally appears to have been fitted with an 1150 Ford engine, and then a twin cam was fitted. No chassis number I'm afraid. Some more information on the man would be great too! Thanks |
