He's learning again and again. Not only he was nervous during the race but it seems something went wrong on the front end of the bike, tyre or brakes or both, impossible to know. He lost a lot of points in France but the season is not over!

It looks like Marquez is going to pull out of racing for the rest of the year, Honda are about to make an announcement. He had another high side crash in qualifying at Mugello today

Big surprise the front row there. Di Gianntonio really pulled that out the bag. And on a weekend where Rossi's 46 is retired, both his team bikes are on the front row
Yet another big crash from Marquez leaves him likely to spend quite a bit of time on the sidelines. Wonder how much longer his career will go on for? |

Well Pedro Acosta made that Moto2 race look easy ! I wonder how long we have got to wait until he will be in the premier class ? Will he be the next Marquez ? Talking of Mark, I can't see having yet another operation is ever going to get him to regain his amazing past riding ability and I think that he should call it a day and come back down to Mojacar and enjoy life in the sun, like he has in the past
![]() But what do I know ! ![]() |

Bagnia kept it all together for the win in the MotoGP, however Quartararo extended his lead by finishing an amazing 2nd place considering the bike shouldn't be up there. Both Suzuki riders Rins and Mir fell off !

considering he won last year at Mugello .. it was not expected but not a big suprise .. that last corner is very fast so hard to gain that much on the straight

impressive second place from Fabio considering the speed disadvantage.

At the moment Quartararo and Espargaro are the ones who have been the most consistent. Fabio has done well to stay in front, but Aleix is looking like a real threat to that lead

Jack Miller struggled to overtake after running off track on lap 1 - reckon it is curtains for him in that team unfortunately....

Hello (again)!
According to my (infamous) calculations, in MotoGP there are now three contenders and a fourth (Bagnaia) could be recoverable. Those 4 together have like 95% of chance for the title (in simulations). In Moto2, the misfortune (after his big luck in Portimao) of Vieti has increased the contenders to six(!). Canet threw away a golden opportunity not only against Vieti but against every other candidate. Unexpectedly, Moto3 is the less open category: only two true contenders, with another two (Masia & Foggia) that could recover that status "easily". Those 4 have a total probability of title of 97% (again in simulations). Still 12 races to go but points gaps are not so easy to recover as our intuition could think. Calculations help us to better appreciate the scoring possibilities. A curiosity: in terms of regularity/consistency, Marc Marquez is the 3rd better in MotoGP. His "typical" (median) position is 6th, just a bit better than Rins and Mir and only worse than Quarteraro (3rd) and A.Espargaro (3rd). More than anything it is a statistical hiccup, as he could lose like 5 positions after the next race... if he ran it. (These days I watch practice, qualifying and races throughout Saturday to Tuesday or Wednesday, so I cannot enter here for obvious spoiler reasons. I also follow WSBK&sisters series and "even" F1.) |

Unfortunately, as Gordon says MMwont be a contender for this year. I wonder if Fabio is right to stay with Yamaha. Unless they have revealed many good things they have now in their hands to improve the engine this year and in the future. In the past they already had a pattern of promises not always fulfilled.
