I had that game. That and another F1 game for my old Nintendo. I also had "Indycar" by Papyrus, which was fantastic. I still wish I had the disks for that game because it was highly entertaining.
I had GP2, which was awesome but the CD broke a year or two ago , which is exactly what happened to my GP3 disk

I recall playing all the old systems (the original "consoles" with cartridges), like Atari, Colecovision, Intellivision and Nintendo.

The first "gaming" system I actually owned was the Commodore Vic-20 (with a staggering 5KB of memory. I had a racing game for it, but the name excapes me (Night Driver, maybe???). I soon graduated to the fabled Commodore 64, which had many racing titles back in the 80's (one of my favourites was Test Drive).

I'm working on setting up an emulator program on my PC that will enable me to play all those old C64 games again. I suppose it's kind of a waste, emulating a 64K computer with a 256MB desktop; but it should prove fun playing the old games one more time.

Pff, that's nothing - on F1 Challenge on the Saturn, you can lap in the 1'07"XXX

Well, 1:14 is with 715 bhp, I've never tried it with 900 before...

First game for me at the arcade was Pole Position, then Outrun came out (at 60c a pop!!!) and Pole Posi was looking pretty outdated by then.

When the queue was too long for Outrun, the Super Sprint machine got a thrashing, that game was a hoot, collecting all the spanners before your mates could get `em, spinning that cool looking sports wheel, those were the days. anyways....

At home it was Revs+ by Geoff Crammond on the C64 that got me hooked on 'proper' racing sims.Indy 500 was next, on my brothers 286 I think it was.

All great games for their time.

For me it was probably Pitstop II on the old Commodore 64. Pitstop II also gave me my first taste of multiplayer action as well.

I also remember the heartbreak on that game when thise tyres would change colour to yellow - and then they'd burst !

I didn't have a social life between the years of 13 and 16 thanks to Indycar racing and GP1

How about Chequered Flag for the Spectrum - I spent hours on that one.
Revs on the BBC was brilliant for its time. I have still got the disk somewhere, hmm I wonder...

Vroom on the old Atari ST. Not strictly a sim, but a fun racing game. Also had the RAC rally and F1GP1 for the ST, oh, and the Lotus game, whatever it was called...
