STEFANO should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
March 88B Formula 3000 First Racing

Anyone can help with First racing March 88B chassis numbers, as they raced in 1988 season.
Chassis 88B-6 should be Marco Apicella but no knowledge which chassis numbers raced Pierluigi Martini.

Thanks Peter.
It seems that Martini raced two chassis numbers in 88B in 1988 season; any record on this subject?

Stefano
The list I have just shows First Racing having 88B-05 & 88B-06 and the only one Martini drove was 88B-05, no sign of a second chassis number.
Like most the 3000 teams, First don't seem to have had a spare car.
Martini was involved in a big 4 car crash at the re-start at Monza, if it was really bad they might have had to replace the chassis but if they did they kept the original chassis number.

I am aware of a March 88B with chassis plate 04 in the same white and yellow colours, sponsor logos and race numbers (#9) of Pierre Luigi Martini.
Does that fit in with your knowledge of Team First?

There's no record of 88B-04 appearing at any European race, so it might have been a spare car that was never used or it raced in the Japanese series (I don't have chassis numbers for Japanese races).

In Europe the cars needed customs carnets so it is possible that teams swapped chassis plates when they swapped chassis.
