Doesn't seem that anyone else has identified the "cylinder with wires" on the roll cage.
It is the series organiser's rev limiting device. It was mandatory in all cars that year. Hope that helps |

The Ecurie Ecosse plate confirms it was a Cleland/Leslie car surely? it would have run with EE badges as well if I remember correctly.

Looking good, but tell the owner he has the wrong flag on the windscreen if it's the Cleland car he's making a replica of. Mr Cleland would be very offended.

Is this the car that appeared at Goodwood last weekend or was it the sister car of Chris Goodwin in the St Andrews flag livery?

Same car. It's back with Ecurie Ecosse in the UK. The later Goodwin car that came up for sale recently is still in white Ascom livery.
