westfieldbend should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Brands Hatch winter work 2010

Seems like JP's been busy spending!

http://motorsportvision.co.uk/brands...sp?NewsID=5358

- Half of indy circuit resurfaced (half way down cooper straight to half way down braham straight)
- New kerbs druids and graham hill exits
- Improved drainage on cooper straight

I see no mention of any additional debris fencing, so us spectators/photographers/videographers may be safe for another year!

He probably got the tarmac cheap. There was a company in the West Midlands with surplus stock after a big cancelled order

Hope not, it'll be a bodge job if he is, and they probably won't finish it off before they leg it with the cash!

At the truck meeting I heard the tarmac was breaking up at post 23 (clearways) Anybody know the extent/cause of the damage?

Yes the tarmac was breaking up a bit at clearways, but it was only very minor and only on the very edges of the circuit-nothing to get too excited about-the cause, dirty great trucks running a bit wide and sideways I guess

Thanks for the update,

Trucks were going 4 wheels off far too often and without any punishments/flags, I would have hoped/thought that the BTRA and the truck drivers would have been briefed about this? As with damage caused to £1000's of track surface, its possible they may not be invited back? the crowd certainly wasn't large enough to make it irrelevant.

That's odd... When they do that at Pembrey they are given a couple of chances then black flagged if they persist.
