RIP Des Wall

Just heard the news that Des Wall has passed away.

Very sad - he was a lovely man that I've known since I was a little kid.

Condolences to David and the Wall family.

Prancing Wombat should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
That is VERY sad news.
I spent my many years as a kid, going with my father to hillclimbs all over the place and still remember Des and his (then) young family racing the black EH holden with big red stripe. Then on through sports sedans and a long motorsport involvement.
Des was a great man and great racer. Condolences to all those he has left behind.

Shocked to hear of Dessie's passing, my wife Bobi, and I were, and are deeply saddened when we heard the news today, as over the years we have enjoyed Des and Vicki company on many occasions.

Des was a guy you could do a deal with and it would be honoured to the letter, I sold him one of our TransAm cars, and it was without doubt a pleasure to do business with him.

We got to know David well and always enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with the family news.

We shall miss you Des, you were a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

Our sincere condolences, to Vicki, David and the family.

Mark Petch.

Very sad day.

May he rest in peace and thanks for the memories pedalling some wonderful machinery. I always admired the way Des has some historic machinery but didnt put it in a museum but was prepared to race it and race it hard.

R I P Des Wall .

Hello David . What sad news you bear for so many of your fathers friends . Des was an example to so many , as to how things should be done , and how life should be lived . A man of unquestionable ethics , at work or at play . Des's word was his bond , and his care for family and friends an inspiration . It's terribly hard at the present, to accept that we should lose such a fine friend , husband , and father . Eventually the grief will mellow , but the memory of how fortunate we have all been to share his life will be with us always . To Vicki , and family , my love , respect , and appreciation of my opportunity to be a friend . Bryan Thomson .

My condolances to the Wall family as a person who watched him race from various flag points over the years.
