I think 3.5 has less cars than that now, this weekend as Teo Martin have pulled out

Anyone care to take a stab at who the potential 12th team might be?

Possibly means Rapax need to pay their 2017 bill before they can come in for 2018...

So given this mornings news regarding the demise of F3.5, could the mysterious 12th team possibly be one of the remaining teams. AVF or RP?

On the face of it, AVF would seem to be the more realistic shot. I would just be grateful to see a 24 car grid again though, so just hopethe slot gets filled by someone

Is that relevant? Just because I said I’d like to see 24 cars doesn’t mean there will be.

But the F2 paddock must believe there is a market out there for 22. Otherwise teams like Carlin, and Fortec wouldn’t have bothered

No offense to you , my guess is some teams will vannish from mid season or give away free drives like Carlin did at the end of his GP2 adventure

exactly. those two teams don't get involved unless they can make it pay. it's an expensive series to be involved in. especially with the new car situation, and the calendar having two flyaways.

avf are very good at running budget operations, but it's debatable how much could be shaved off an average gp2 pile of cash.

Maybe they already have big deals in place, like Norris and Celis?

I think Norris at Carlin is pretty much a given isn't it, Celis at Fortec makes sense as well.

On the face of it with an increased calendar, a new car and new teams entering, I would say that lots of people think there are drivers with 2m out there

With 22 (24 cars) i bet we will see the likes Canamasas,Cecotto and Dilmann on the grid at some point of the season ....

Norris at Carlin , could be a gamble for his carreer, seems like only "French Engineers" (ART, Prema and Dams) can handle F2 cars ...

As much as i would love this i just can't see it happening, Super Formula or Formula E at a stretch, Gt's or Sportscars far more likely, Cycling or Triathlons more likely still.

Wish Minardi could take over the team and return to F2, like in early 1980s.
