Several of the Brands Racing School XR3s took part to boost the grid, driven by the Brands instructors. The question is, were these classified in the overall result or not, and did they run in Class C or as an 'invitation' class. The Autosport race report excludes them from the result table, but I think Motoring News included them.
The XR3i finishing order posted is as listed by Carrera a couple of pages back, though for now I've put Crudgington's Corolla 12th as given by Autosport- From the finishing order given by Carrera, he was actually 17th...?

XR3 drivers' names are confirmed by the Motoring News season review article. Whether they were classified in the race or not, they don't seem to have been eligible for points- if they had been, Cole would have scored points for 3rd in class.

Quite a job there, KA, posting the updated results - thanks a lot! The best of the XR3s should then have been classified as 4th, 5th and 6th and thereby in the points, alas they don't figure in the list posted on the BTCC page.

A few comments to the round 6 Snetterton results.

Andy Rouse essentially retired on the final lap of the race. I pressume he was in the lead, making the (only?) Pete Hall BSCC/BTCC win a lucky one.

Tony Lanfranchi lapped five times, completing 80 % of the race winning drivers distance!

The fastest race lap is not complete, but would likely looks like this as for fastest in the classes:
A: Andy Rouse, 1:11.93
B: Mark Hales, 1:14.60 (all drivers accounted for)
C: Chris Hodgetts, 1:15.65
D: Tony Lanfranchi, 1:32.90 (only contestant)

Thank you for the updates, guys. It's approaching time for a serious attempt at reconstruct the points situation.

Noticed that Richard Belcher, a star in the John Jeffreys Engineering Ford Escort RS1600i during 1985, had a disappointing part time season in 1986. But only now did I noticed he raced the North Essex Racing Escort rather than the Jeffreys car. Did know the Jeffreys car was at Bathurst in '86 and so not likely to be running in late season BTCC races, but totally forgot about the January New Zealand races where this car was down under.

Several of the Brands Racing School XR3s took part to boost the grid, driven by the Brands instructors. The question is, were these classified in the overall result or not, and did they run in Class C or as an 'invitation' class. The Autosport race report excludes them from the result table, but I think Motoring News included them.
The XR3i finishing order posted is as listed by Carrera a couple of pages back, though for now I've put Crudgington's Corolla 12th as given by Autosport- From the finishing order given by Carrera, he was actually 17th...?

XR3 drivers' names are confirmed by the Motoring News season review article. Whether they were classified in the race or not, they don't seem to have been eligible for points- if they had been, Cole would have scored points for 3rd in class.

Crud is 12th c/ship car home but 17th on the road. All Brands cars entered as class C but probably not registered for the championship hence no points.
