NASN coverege of NASCAR worth the subscription?

Just wondering for those who have Sky digital and who have subscribed to NASN is it worth the £10.99 a mounth to see live NASCAR nextel cup and more and all the other top north American sports, because I'am thinking of getting it.

If you are really into NASCAR, that's the only way to see it - so get the subscription.

There are only two drawbacks that I can see.

1. Persuading her indoors to surrender the telly for 3-4 hours every Sunday night from February to November.

2. The Saturday night races start at around midnight and finish at 4.00, so matchsticks for eye-propping are essential!

During most of the US ad breaks you get in car coverage.

There's also a lot of other good stuff e.g. baseball and a number of discussion shows.

It also works out a lot cheaper than going in person. My wallet took a year to recover from my trip to the Las Vegas race last year!

I couldn't live without NASN. Its only one of two channels a NASCAR fan needs. The other being Motors TV for Busch races.

The trouble with the Craftsman Truck races is they try to make it as difficult as possible for you to see them. There's no publicity of when they're on and if you do manage to track them down it's usually at 3 in the morning.

A shame, because there has been some great racing this year.

Get it mate it's well worth it.

The only complaint I had last season was that as the season wound down more and more races were showed "delayed" ie not live but broadcast in full later or the following day. Last season it wasn't that important but if they do it this year it's going to make a mess of the chase for the championship. I notice this weekends race is being shoen on Sunday evening instead of live on Saturday.

Just something to be aware of. The best is if you sign up for Pit Command on Nascar.com then you can have live telemetry from the cars, in car audio from one of the drivers or a scan of all AND live TV coverage virtually uninterrupted by adverts! What more could a NASCAR fan need

Even if you watch nothing else but Nextel Cup, it works out at about £3.00 per race!!! Excellent value if you intend to watch all of the races, plus you get the pre and post race shows too.

Also, during the adverts, you get some great in-car footage and some VERY amusing radio chatter (Best listened to when there are no kids around though, can get a little 'fraught'!

Of course, given the duration of the races, it helps that my wife is just as fanatical as me...

It is worth the subscription. I have had NASN since last years Bud Shoot out. I even managed to record part of my 2003 holiday ( a trip to the Las Vegas race) thanks to NASN.

It works out about £3 per NNC race

I didn't know NASN would turn out to be this popluar!
I shall be getting it in November for the showdown and if I'm happy with it I shall re-order it again in February.

I would get it know but I'm broke to put it lightly!
