There's nothing like the sound of the strokers! And the Jerico gearboxes are pure wonders… I've been told!

Strewth, there’s other tenthers the same age as you, Bob!

Many happy returns, and sorry that you had to drop a hint. Really should have noticed that....

To hold all of the candles Viv, it would have to be pretty big.

Er! 82 to be exact Delta.

I have been out of touch with the internet world for the last week, as my computer got hacked, bank account got compromised. The bank put a block on all my internet banking and advised me to get my computer cleaned. So that now done my internet banking all reset with extra security and I am now back in touch with the real world on the internet

Only problem now is I have picked up an infection in one eye so a bit vision impaired atm

Catching up with tenth stuff I see I have missed a couple of notable events, so belated Birthday wishes to Peter and Bauble.

Made worse when I went to pay for my passport renewal online last night to get told payment declined... limit exceeded. Unfortunately not due to purchases by me. Card now cancelled and new one on its way. The bank also informed me that my credit card insurance they take money out for does not cover incidents like this, only theft of card situations. So an expensive week as well.

Yes, it's similar in the UK too. Try and use a VPN when doing your online banking in future.

Since I sense you know about this stuff, Peter, a question-

I avoid doing any sensitive stuff while using public WiFi, and if I do need to look at a bank / card account, use phone data instead. Additionally, if purchasing on line, I pay by PayPal, which requires me to log into their site separately. No passwords for any money related websites saved, either.

Am I relatively safe?

Relatively. But the VPN makes it look like you are elsewhere. Remember, everytime you use PayPal it sends your password to the main server. So, use a vpn no matter whether you are on cell or wi fi.

Same with on line banking. The proof of VPN is that even if your details are in your phone (cookies) if you log in with a random VPN you have to re enter your details.
