daviesfever should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
F1 access

MY mate is wondering if children under the age of twelve can get into the GP with the guest pass holder or do they require tickets of their own ?

No this is not like a normal meeting where children can get in with a paying adult. Children from the age of 5 I think it is will need their own ticket. But I would check the exact age it is with Silverstone.

The point Chezza made can not be stressed enough, it is NOT a normal meeting. you can't go anywhere without a suitable pass, you have to be in certain places at certain times, just because you are a marshall means nothing you right at the bottom of the pile.

BUT that said if you are willing to accept a bit of official-dom, do as you are told when you are told to do it and try not to have too big a hangover, then it's a great weekend that keeps a lot of us coming back time after time.

Centre access is not guaranteed for our guests either.

I was under the impression that this was an oversight by the MSA, that was rectified at sign on.

Last year they did give centre access at sign on for some who requested it. This years letter states that it "May not allow" centre access. With that statement things could change.

I believe that one to have been deliberately ambiguous because we are still 6 months away and many things are yet to be sorted out. We'll have to wait and see what happens when the finals come out.

It doesn't make a lot of difference anyway, 'cos even if you get to the infield, they don't let you near anything worth looking at! The main advantage is there is space to walk about and you can more easily access some of the better viewing spots. Unfortunately you do have to put up with those enjoying the free (to them anyway) hospitality.

I didn't think there was much hospitality on the infield these days?

Centre acess is also good for your guest if they want to short cut from say Farm to Beckets, as an example.
