Teams that were not selected will be able to take part in the new GT4 Central European Cup, which benefits from the same sporting and technical environment. But it's all up to the teams.

Nice idea for a world final, but I don't think teams would like that in a regular season. Bit like pre-qualifying - some of the teams would pay full entry fee, but would race part season.

Well - provided you can secure enough track time - you could have two qualifying races with 30 cars each and then an A and B finale where you combine the two top, respectively bottom, halves of the qualifying races. That way each team gets two full races.

You'd probably need to change the points system a bit to make the B-finale relevant for the teams involved while still not allowing them to outscore any teams from the A-finale, but apart from that it should be pretty straightforward.

Or alternative you could simply give the Am-drivers their own races apart from the Silver and Pro/Am guys. ( at least in theory; I'm sure you know about your teams' motivation, Marcel, so it might e.g. be a non-starter because Am-teams are not interested in racing on their own)

Do you know what SRT's game plan is? They also have two AMGs entered in Belcar; will they use the same cars for both series or do they really have 5 of the new Mercedeses at their disposal?

Well now races are geoblocked in US, so can forget this series as well I guess.

Not sure I see the sense in the whole geoblocking thing. Can't speak for everyone obviously, but it sure doesn't get myself or any of the people I talk to to watch the races on the lame TV broadcasts. We either just ignore the series and go watch other series that don't make it difficult, or we find an "unofficial" stream.

Yes please! Been saying this for a while now. Closer to "proper" touring cars and could bump a little, could run the Nordschleife again, and would look a little more... dramatic with more body roll and brake squat and such. Would prefer no TCS/ABS though, and maybe a little more power than GT4.

Wishful thinking though I guess, it looks Class 1 is what they are pushing on with after the recent announcement.

How did you try to watch the races? GT World (YouTube), GT4 European Series (YouTube) or GT4 Facebook page?

I believe the GT World YouTube channel is now blocking all US Videos (I can't check this, but I received an email regarding it). Also disappointingly, NISMO TV doesn't stream Blancpain to the US anymore either. Shame.
