Yep. It's rage buggies, they've been approved for use by the MSA now.

I really hope Lydden attracts an ERC round but isnt it a bit ironic they cant rely on the cars they have entered this monday to enter for a European Championship round. It looks like my quick reckoning says there would only be 4 cars eligible in Division 1.
Even if he was going I am sure Isachsen would be a bit bemused to line up against a 6R4!

Oh don't worry about the 6R4! He has droven his Focus on all sorts of events before: Gatebil and another Norwegian event versus Norris EVO, Glomma Papp 6R4 and RS200, Hafsengen Escort etc. But yeah too bad there aren't more ERC regulars!

Don't think it matters all that much for the candidate event. It's a decent entry, that's what matters, not so much if the cars are ERC legal cars. I also hope Lydden gets a spot on next years calendar. And about the eternal discussion on supercar versus division 1: an ERC-round is the best motivation to update machinery to get a spot on the entrylist.

[B]the entry list is a fabrication[B]

Mr Rallycross Fan

Your comments are to say the least disengenuous.

I can assure everybody that all the entries listed have submitted a completed entry form to the Event Secreatary. It is therefore not fabricated as you state.

Midnight tonight is the final closing date (with financial penalty) so we will know tomorrow exactly what the entry is.

Your ill informed comments do nothing to help the sport we all work so hard for.

Whoah! What happened there? Come on people calm down please. Entry lists change - we all know that, people are added as cars get fixed (hopefully Mr Binks will be added) and cars get removed as people break their toys. But I doubt very much if people put out spurious entry lists.

Sorry BertMk2.

I am very calm but comments that are ill informed make my blood boil.

Everything is really starting to fall in place for Monday and with the amazing help I have had from my team, Amy and all at Lydden and the MSA I really believe we have the making of a brilliant showcase event.

If we get the go ahead to run a full European next year it will be to the credit of everybody and they deserve to be recognised not accused of fabricating an entry list.

well I make it eight? We are all supporting the event for ourselfes as well as to enable a ERC round in Britain. So everybody is making an effort, so please stop knocking this event and lets all pull in the same direction for once.

Hi All,

The car is fine, got two temp repairs done which should last the meeting.
we have just rebuilt the turbo with some odds and sods and stuck a GrpN clutch which should last.
I thought i was on the entrylist as my entry was submitted whilst in Holland.

Looks like it will be a great event see you all there.

David,

Was the turbo the reason why your car sounded like it had ALS "in the wrong moments" in Holland? Out of curiousity: Is the car still in the same spec as when it was when you bought it from Huybs? Like with HKS parts? Is it also different from the EVO (apart from VII to VIII) that Steve Hill build? I have never seen that one, so thats the reason I asked...

I think this may show why the drivers reacted so strongly at Valkenswaard. They have been complaining of the safety of the track for years. But nothing has happened.
And when two of you’re rivals and friends end up in Hospital because of the barriers around the track, well, who would not be emotional?? Who would not be angry? Safety first I say!!

I agree, safety should be the main concern of all. Everybody is aware that motorsport is dangerous. We should be reducing the risks to drivers and public alike, todays cars accelerate at warp factor 9 [at least when youre trying to controll youre car and give racing room to your competitors thats what it feels like !! ]. So any improvement would be good. I am not aware of a drivers safety officer/ representative but if theres not one involved in the running of an event then there should be. This person should have an influence in the safety aspects and carry the full support of all drivers for the good of everyone and for the good of our sport as a whole. I did not mention the officials or especially the marshals without whom none of us would be able to race.Their safety is as important ,so something needs to be done and soon.

[quote=1975DCS]David,

Yes I had problems all day, lack of boost couldnt get it off the line found later to be a melted intercooler pipe, so we niped the actuator pipe just to get it boost to maximum went a little better, we got up to 24th i think then it blew in the third.

For this weekend it has got the original carterage back in from huybs so we will see if it lasts fingers crossed.

the car has been changed in many waysfrom huybs spec but the HKS bits are the next to go as getting bits is difficult..

I'm sorry - but what have the posts from WJM, The Eye and Mr McCann got to do with this thread? I thought it was for Lydden on Monday, not an incident at Valkensward?

Anyway - any more news for Monday?

And how about some of those that were ready to slate the startline crew this time last year come and say "Hi!". Ready to give it a go yourselves yet?
